چکیده

We consider the late time behaviour of non–tilted perfect fluid Bianchi VII0 models when the source is a radiation fluid, thereby completing the analysis of the Bianchi VII0 models initiated by Wainwright et al in a recent paper. The models exhibit the phenomena of asymptotic self-similarity breaking and Weyl-curvature dominance at late times. The late time dynamics of the VII0 perfect fluid models, and in particular that of the radiation fluid, is a prime example of the complexity inherent in the field equations of general relativity.

These notes represent approximately one semester’s worth of lectures on introductory general relativity for beginning graduate students in physics. Topics include manifolds, Riemannian geometry, Einstein’s equations, and three applications: gravitational radiation, black holes, and cosmology. Individual chapters, and potentially updated versions, can be found at http://itp.ucsb.edu/~carroll/not...

We derive the late-time behaviour of tilted Bianchi VII 0 cosmologies with an irro-tational radiation fluid as source, and give the asymptotic form of the general solution as t → +∞, making comparisons with the dust-filled models. At first sight the radiation-filled models appear to approximate the flat FL model at late times, since the Hubble-normalized shear and the tilt tend to zero and the ...

Bianchi type V bulk viscous fluid cosmological models are investigated. Using a generation technique (Camci et al., 2001), it is shown that the Einstein’s field equations are solvable for any arbitrary cosmic scale function. The viscosity coefficient of bulk viscous fluid is assumed to be a power function of mass density. Solutions for particular forms of cosmic scale functions are also obtaine...
